In my effort to change things up with this blog, I am inaugurating a new weekly feature: “The Weekly Wine”. I will present the story of that wine and the winemaker, in addition I’ll add a detailed review of the wine on the Wine Reviews Page of Poor Robert’s (Wine) Almanac to provide more significant detail on the particular bottle. How “The Weekly Wine” actually looks in future editions of Poor Robert’s will depend to a great deal on how I can trick up the programing for the home page (still struggling with this). Stay tuned, I hope you enjoy perusing “The Weekly Wine” as much I am enjoying creating it.

Thanks for this. I hope to learn more about selecting and enjoying wines, and this weekly feature may be just the way to begin my education.

What a great feature, Poor Robert! I must say, I initially shied away from following (overwhelmed by blogs), but shorter introductions to wines with the opportunity to read more is fantastic.
Margerine through a wooden staw (love it) and Anything But Chardonnay… oh, yeah! You’ve got me.

I am glad you liked it. Did you have the chance to look at the review on the Wine Reviews page? I would really love your opinion on how the format works. I am struggling with TMI and not getting enough in to give readers a sense of the wine. By the way I am glad you enjoyed my humorisms, stay tuned, I have a lot more I’ve picked up over the years.
Thanks for following Poor Robert’s, I am really trying to make the site work as a resource for readers.

I will set aside some time to check out the reviews. At the moment, I am computer-impaired and reading on my phone. Sigh…

Leah — Some days I think I am just impaired in general. That’s been this week as I tried to upgrade to Windows 10.

Finally took the time to check out the reviews section. I like being able to read several reviews of the same wine. Great to have different opinions.
I will keep reading and, who knows, might even feel the need to contribute some day.

I sure hope you do post a wine review and don’t feel obliged to follow my review format, it’s just the way I do it and I love to see other ideas on how to present a wine. Also if you do post, don’t worry about indexing, I’ll update it the next time I post a review.
